Stratos Lightwave have created thumb sized HD-SDI to Optical Transmit and Receive modules that enable the simplest of methods for transmitting SD or HD-SDI signals via lightweight fibre optic cables.
Compliant to SMPTE 292M/297M/259M/305M/310M, they can also be used in an 18 port, 1U height rack mount or stand alone base unit with in built, dual redundant power supplies.

With a standard, line equalized 75 ohm BNC connector at one end, a rugged Fibre Optic “ST” simplex connector at the other and a 4 pin terminated flying lead to supply power and provide a digital diagnostics monitoring interface, it really couldn’t be simpler!

Operating voltage can be between 4.5V to 16V, allowing supply from most car and/or camera batteries, and the units can support a guaranteed minimum fibre length of 12km. They come with an integral ST dust cover and have an extremely strong die cast body with red (TX) or blue (RX) over mould.
